The Role
Position Summary
As our Commercial Lines Account Manager | Client Risk Advisor, you will become a trusted partner to commercial clients and an integral member of the IPI team. You will work directly with business owners, producers, and insurance carriers to deliver exceptional service while helping clients identify and manage risk.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary service contact for commercial clients and build long-term relationships through exceptional communication and service.
- Conduct annual policy reviews, identify potential coverage gaps and risk exposures, and coordinate renewals and remarketing strategies.
- Prepare complete underwriting submissions and market new and renewal accounts to multiple insurance carriers.
- Develop relationships with carrier underwriters, negotiate coverage and pricing, and prepare professional client proposals.
- Process policy changes and endorsements, issue certificates of insurance, manage audits, and review policies for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain agency management system documentation and coordinate claims assistance when needed.
- Help improve workflows, service standards, technology implementation, and the overall client experience.
Required
- Kansas Property & Casualty License, or ability to obtain promptly.
- Minimum of three years of Commercial Lines insurance experience.
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance coverages.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Preferred
- CISR, CIC, CRM, or another professional insurance designation.
- Experience with Applied Epic, AMS360, HawkSoft, EZLynx, or a similar agency management system.
- Experience marketing commercial accounts with multiple carriers and preparing high-quality underwriting submissions.
- Strong relationships with commercial underwriters.

- Recommend improvements that enhance client service and operational efficiency.
